Writer

As the son of a history professor and a USA Today bestselling author, it’s no surprise I have writing in my blood. I enjoy writing fiction and non-fiction stories that interest, excite, and move people. It’s also no surprise that I especially like writing about forgotten chapters in history, doing my part to keep alive the memories of people who came before us.

Ever since I was eight years old, I wanted to tell the story of the First World War, a conflict that changed every corner of the globe but is perpetually ignored or overshadowed in modern memory. In 2020, I completed and published The Glory of Their Deeds, a novel about two people trying to reclaim love and life after experiencing the death and horror of war. The novel has received praise for its historical accuracy and the emotional authenticity and power of the story. The novel is available in print and digital on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and by order wherever books are sold.

As a companion to my history presentations, I have written three articles for the GCA Journal, a military history magazine with a readership of more than 20,000. The most exciting part of these articles was interviewing veterans about their experiences and sharing their stories with readers.

The Summer 2015 issue of the GCA Journal was the first to feature one of my articles.

The year 2017 marked the debut of the Line of Battle science fiction series, which I co-author with my brother under the shared pseudonym W.P. Brothers. My first book for the series, Outpost, came out in June, 2017, to positive reviews.
